Have a "Bed Day" ?

Via Country Living

While reading a book called Tranquilista, by Kimberly Wilson, I came across an idea that she shares suggesting that every a month or so you declare a "bed day".

I love this idea, and thought it was the perfect post for a Sunday morning which you have received an extra hour! Simply put. it's as easy and peaceful as it sounds. It is best to plan ahead so you can guarantee peace and quiet. Even if its a bed half day- negotiate your time and schedule your peace. Clean your room and sheets the night before and have it incredibly fresh and cozy. Flowers, a bedside candle, ( no clothes, toys, on the floor).

Think about what it is you want to have for your "bed time". Kimberly suggests: your laptop, pot of tea, a carafe of water, books and magazines you have been wanting to read, cell phone, notebook and pen to write down ideas, healthy snacks.

The idea is not necessarily to unplug- but really relax and indulge in whatever you like. If its a day of cruising the blogs, researching something new, and online tutorial, uploading photos, reading, catching up with friends on email, writing a letter, creating your to do lists, reading recipes and planning meals, planning a dinner party, making a new playlist... ANYTHING...., and preparing yourself to not have to get out of bed until you are ready!

We all need a bed day from time to time. Even if its just for a few hours. Your mind can escape and dream and plan and you get a chance to "play" with ideas and actually begin to develop them further.

As I write this from my sumptuous, crisp, warm, four poster king....Happy Sunday!
