Update of first full day here . . .

My birthday prayers were answered! Dr. Lofland came in about an hour ago with information that totally shocked Andrew and I, as well as him himself... The good news is that Dr. Lofland will not be placing new drains today, because this morning's chest xray showed that the round-the-clock hard diuretic is pulling it all off and that it's working. Strangely he's peeing it off, as his Left Blake drain is still not working... It's the same one that's been in since June 7th, it's just not releasing a drop of fluid as it should.We'll continue with the Bumex (sp? - hard diuretic) again today. Bad news is that his bloodwork is very, very off again and we'll be here a couple more days until we get labs back to his "home care" baseline. Bless you time and again for the many prayers that have been said for Tyler since this whole horrible ordeal happened yesterday. I sincerely love you all and will keep updating as I can.
