In case you are thinking about trying some of these projects out, or have ideas of your own, I have compiled a list of the top eight things to keep on hand in case you are hit with a sudden craving for being crafty.
#1 Mod Podge
A jar of this eighth wonder of the world will cost about six bucks and last well past your crafty phase in life.
#
#2 Old Magazines
When painting, podging or gluing small items, use old magazines instead of newspaper underneath. Newspaper sticks to your project and creates a mess.
#3 Paint Brushes
Keep different shapes and sizes, and most of all, keep them clean.
#4 Acrylic Finish Spray
Throw a few dollars down for a can of this stuff to add a finishing touch and seal the deal on your creation.
#5 Paint
This sounds obvious, but for less than a buck, you can afford to keep many different colors. Fabric paint and acrylic paint are my top two.
#6 Tacky Glue
These little bottles of glue go a long way, and if you snag the variety pack, you will have your pick.
#7 Exacto Knife
For detail and small items that are overwhelmed by scissors, this little guy will get the job done.
#8 The Obvious
Make sure you have everyday items such as tape, scissors, pencils, a ruler, and other things that you typically see on a school supplies list.
