Winter has its own special magic. It has it's own special ability to allow us to indulge in activities we don't always make the time for the rest of the year. Reading, Baking, Snuggling, Skiing, Napping, Fires, Candles, Stews, Staying in Bed All Day all have a different personality in the depths of Winter.

This year I have really found myself wanting to indulge in the romance of Winter, rather then my usual desire to escape it. I spent the afternoon daydreaming about a weekend in Colorado rather than the Caribbean and thought of what a great place for anything from a get-away to an engagement-or even a destination wedding it would be.

Here are some images to daydream on.... on this Wintry January Monday.

"igloo" lanterns in the snow
such a magical way to lead guests to a reception
This is so gorgeous- Ice Luminaries are such a memorable way to lead guests to your winter events.
A detail surely not to be forgotten.

White Hot Chocolate

For winter events cocoa bars with toppings, and even shots on the side are a great welcome reception activity- post ceremony transition and end of the night send off "one for the road" pick me ups. Instead of a brunch, a "to go" breakfast bar with carry out cups is a great touch too.

Have a cozy Monday.
