Now, onto a another creative craft idea for fall!
Decorative Orbs are by no means a new thing, and I have had some around my house for a while. I decided to create my own seasonal orbs with some leftovers from my stash. I used two things for the base. First, I had some store bought orbs that I did not care for. They had been plucked from the group long ago, before the rest were displayed in the living room. I also used some styrofoam balls that I had picked up on clearance one day.
You may remember my fall centerpiece that I did last month. The big red flowers in that originally had leaves on the stems, which I removed. This was my chance to put them to use, as well as some other faux leaves I had kept for a rainy day.
I glued them on one by one, until they completely covered the orb, overlapping sloppily to give it the look of a pile of leaves. I added some greenery to the smaller orbs, just for a extra splash of color. Here are a few of the finished pieces!
Styrofoam balls: $2.00
Leaves: on hand
Total cost: $2.00
Decorative orbs in store: $9.99 EACH
