Labs from this morning -Sodium stayed the same as yesterday, potassium is starting to creep up, albumin is starting to creep up, and calcium is starting to creep up too. None are critically low as of today, however they are all still low. So, I'm glad to be able to say they are closer to the low side of normal than the towards the other end of the spectrum! Good new is that his left side blake drain finally started releasing some fluid that was building up over there. And let me tell you, it's unbelievable the amount of fluid that is coming off of this boy. Hard to believe that only three days ago, the CV Surgery nurses were talking about pulling his drains because his output was almost to their volume requirement needed to safely take them out... and then our bad chest xray two mornings ago was a blessing in disguise, in that we still have our drains in to suck this stuff off. Still no official talk about discharging us, as no one feels comfortable with how his labs are looking and for sure no one feels comfortable with what the blake drains are doing right now. Long road of recovery ahead, but we are enjoying the baby steps that he's taking! Love, Kathleen
